The Gullah Festival Committee of Beaufort, SC celebrates and recognizes the history, customs, cultures, language and accomplishments of the African-Americans of the low-country. Festival activities will commence Friday, may 27th and will end on Sunday, May 29th.  The festival is always held on the weekend before Memorial Day.  Due to renovations in the Waterfront Park, our 2005 festival will be held at various venues throughout the historical district of Beaufort.  So...bring your walking shoes and come prepared to see Historical Beaufort!!!   This year's festival includes the following:
